Most of my paintings are inspired by a place. This one was inspired by a song. A Taylor Swift song to be exact, that my kids requested on a repeating loop every time we got in the car. Hearing the lyrics so often made me notice lavender everywhere, so naturally, I turned it into a painting. Not of a particular place, just a feeling. "I just wanna stay in that lavender haze".
